Burundi, officially the Republic of Burundi, is a landlocked country amid the African Great Lakes region where East Africa converge. It is bordered by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east and southeast, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west; Lake Tanganyika lies along its southwestern border.

Uganda is a country whose diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as rare birds. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43m-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos.

Named after the Congo River, which flows throughout the country, DRC is home to the world's deepest river and the world's second largest river. As a result of its equatorial location, the DRC experiences high precipitation and has the highest frequency of thunderstorms in the world.

Obed was recommended to me by a guide I had worked with in Uganda. We spent some time working out the right itinerary for me. I traveled by bus with Neema for 3 days around Rwanda, traveling from Kigali to Gisenyi, onto Nyungwe National Park and finally back to Kigali. I would recommend Kumbukumbu Tours for their attention to detail, friendliness and care they take with their clients

Kumbukumb tours was amazing! What a life changing trip (and not only because my husband proposed to me there)! Obed Temba Tuyumvire was a fun, kind, knowledgeable guide. We learned so much about local customs, traditions, and had in depth explanations of each activity. We highly recommend Kumbukumbu and Obed!

Anne Marie

What an amazing experience! We loved our time with Obed and found him to be extremely knowledgeable about local traditions, culture, and wildlife. Perhaps the highlight of our trip was his recommended tour of a nearby village. We’d definitely recommend any of the activities we participated in with his tour company
