Day 1: Kigali International Airport pick up and transfer to Karongi

Upon your arrival at Kigali Airport, you will meet our professional driver-guide, fluent in English and French and after a tea break at Bourbon coffee; you will be transferred to Karongi in the western province of Rwanda passing through the panoramic scenery along Kivu Belt region. You will then after discover why Rwanda is called “Country of thousand hills”. If you reach Karongi early in the evening you will experience sunset on Lake Kivu.

Retire at Bethanie Hotel

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking 

You will wake up early morning and after your breakfast; you will have an average of 2-hour car drive and go to meet one of the closest to human beings animals in their natural habitat, the chimpanzees. The trek takes between3 and 5 hours. You will have your lunch at Kitabi Eco Centre.

Overnight at Kitabi Eco Centre

Day 3: Colobus Monkeys, drive back to Kigali via Nyanza King’s Palace and Huye Ethnographic Museum (it is very possible)

After breakfast, check-in Nyungwe Forest park office and register for colobus monkeys trekking, additional memorable experience with those so-called “ white tie” monkeys because of their impressive and beautiful dress…after what you will drive some two hours to Butare for the Ethnographic museum and then to Nyanza, where Rwanda takes its roots. Where the famous and majestic Rwandan kings were staying. You will get in Butare City for your Lunch and then after, you will get that chance to enter the king palace and learn about the royal style, the smartness and the authority of pre-colonial Rwanda. The famous Long Horns Rwandan Cows are also in the palace backyard. Their permanent keepers who pass the long days singing and interacting romantically with them are much styled to discover. You will experience how animals and human beings are closer friends beyond imagination. After what you will drive straight to Kigali international airport for your night flight.
