Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Goma and City Exploration
As soon as you touch down in Goma, a warm welcome from your guide awaits you. Your journey begins with a transfer to your hotel where you can relax and rejuvenate.
After settling in, the day is yours to discover all that Goma has to offer. Take a leisurely stroll along the tranquil shores of Lake Kivu, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Virunga mountains that hug the horizon. Browse through the vibrant local markets, filled with unique handcrafted treasures like baskets, fabrics, and jewelry.
Come evening, treat your taste buds to a culinary adventure at one of the city's eclectic restaurants, blending the flavors of Congo with international influences. This is just the beginning of your unforgettable journey in Goma.
Day 2: Journey to Bukavu and Cultural Immersion
After breakfast, you will embark on a speed boat journey to Bukavu, a charming townlocated on the southern shores of Lake Kivu.
The boat ride offers a unique opportunity to admire the stunning scenery of the lake and its surrounding hills.
Upon arrival in Bukavu, you will have the opportunity to explore the town. Visit the Bukavu Cathedral, a beautiful colonial-era church known for its striking architecture and vibrant stained glass windows.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park- Lwiro Sanctuary.
Today is the highlight of your trip as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Kahuzi-Biega National Park.
 After an early breakfast, you will be led through the dense forests in search of the endangered eastern lowland gorillas.
The trek can be challenging at times, but the reward of encountering these majestic primates in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. You will have the opportunity to observe the gorillas from a safe distance, witnessing their playful antics and social interactions.
After the trek, you will visit Lwiro Sanctuary, a rehabilitation center for rescued primates, where you will learn about their conservation efforts and even interact with some of the animals up close.
Day 4: Relaxation on Tchegera Island
In the morning, you will venture to Tchegera Island, a tranquil volcanic island located in the middle of Lake Kivu. Tchegera is a haven of peace and relaxation, offering pristine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 5: Return to Goma and Flight to Kinshasa
Today, you will depart from Tchegera Island and return to Goma International Airport for your flight to Kinshasa, the vibrant capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Upon arriving in Kinshasa, you will check into your accommodation and have some time to
rest and relax after the day's travel.
Day 6: Hangout with Sapeurs & city Tour
Start your day by visiting the famous Kinshasa Sapeur today’s version of the well-known dandy’s. Take a walk around the area to admire the colorful outfits and unique style of the sapeurs.
After that you will embark on a guided city tour Kinshasa a bustling metropolis known for its lively atmosphere, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant arts scene.
During the city tour, you will explore the bustling streets of Kinshasa, where you can witness the everyday life of its residents and soak up the colorful sights and sounds of the city.

Start your day by heading to the port in Kinshasa where you will board a boat for a river cruise on the River Congo.

Have lunch on board the boat and relax as you take in the sights and sounds of the river.
In the afternoon, disembark at a remote village along the river to explore the local culture and interact with the community.

Day8: Tata Gonda sect full immersion
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a unique and immersive experience at the Tata Gonda sect. You will be welcomed warmly by members of the sect and gain insight into their way of life through various activities and interactions. One of the highlights of the day will be participating in a traditional ceremony with the Tata Gonda. This will give you a deeper understanding of their cultural traditions and spiritual beliefs. Day 10: Exploring the Enchanting City of Matadi in Bas Congo

Upon arriving in Matadi, prepare to be swept away by the city's rich history and unique charm. As the capital of Bas Congo province, Matadi seamlessly blends old-world allure with modern amenities, creating a captivating atmosphere that is sure to enchant you. Explore the city's iconic sights, from the imposing electrical dam to the scenic Point Belvedere, the historic OEBK bridge, the bustling colonial port, and the vibrant local market. Day 11: Matadi – Boma – Muanda
After enjoying your breakfast, embark on a boat journey along the Congo River. As the river marks the border with Angola, you will have the opportunity to witness daily life along one of the world's most significant waterways. Look out for local fishermen searching for the elusive tigerfish and large ships making their way to Kinshasa.
During the voyage to Muanda, make a stop in the historic town of Boma. Once the capital of the Belgian colony and the site of Belgium's handover of the country to the Congolese in 1959, Boma boasts well-preserved colonial architecture, including the first metal church, cathedral, and remnants of the first cars to arrive in Congo in 1905. Don't miss the iconic Baobab Tree, where explorer Henry Stanley reportedly spent his first night after traversing Congo.

Arriving in Kisantu, a true gem of Congolese culture, we will dive into the heart of the village, immersing ourselves in its vibrant traditions and local life. Day 14: From Kisantu and back to the Vibrant City of Kinshasa
Embark on a tranquil morning in Kisantu, soaking up the peaceful atmosphere before you journey onwards to the bustling metropolis of Kinshasa. As you approach the city, the sheer size and energy of Kinshasa will overwhelm you - with approximately 17 million people calling this urban jungle home.
Before bidding farewell to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, take the opportunity to indulge in some last-minute shopping, exploring local markets, and picking up unique souvenirs to cherish.
