From gorilla trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park to relaxing on the pristine beaches of Tchegera Island, this tour offers a diverse and immersive experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Goma and City Exploration

  • As soon as you touch down in Goma, a warm welcome from your guide awaits you. Your journey begins with a transfer to your hotel where you can relax and rejuvenate.

  • After settling in, the day is yours to discover all that Goma has to offer. Take a leisurely stroll along the tranquil shores of Lake Kivu, soaking in the breathtaking views of the Virunga mountains that hug the horizon. Browse through the vibrant local markets, filled with unique handcrafted treasures like baskets, fabrics, and jewelry.

  • Come evening, treat your taste buds to a culinary adventure at one of the city's eclectic restaurants, blending the flavors of Congo with international influences. This is just the beginning of your unforgettable journey in Goma.

Day 2: Journey to Bukavu and Cultural Immersion

  • After breakfast, you will embark on a speed boat journey to Bukavu, a charming townlocated on the southern shores of Lake Kivu.

  • The boat ride offers a unique opportunity to admire the stunning scenery of the lake and its surrounding hills.

  • Upon arrival in Bukavu, you will have the opportunity to explore the town. Visit the Bukavu Cathedral, a beautiful colonial-era church known for its striking architecture and vibrant stained glass windows.

  • Take a leisurely walk along the waterfront promenade, where you can enjoy views of the lake and watch local fishermen at work.

  • In the evening, you indulge in some authentic Congolese dishes at a local restaurant, sampling specialties such as grilled fish, plantains, and cassava.


Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi-Biega National Park- Lwiro Sanctuary.

  • Today is the highlight of your trip as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience in Kahuzi-Biega National Park.

  •  After an early breakfast, you will be led through the dense forests in search of the endangered eastern lowland gorillas.

  • The trek can be challenging at times, but the reward of encountering these majestic primates in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. You will have the opportunity to observe the gorillas from a safe distance, witnessing their playful antics and social interactions.

  • After the trek, you will visit Lwiro Sanctuary, a rehabilitation center for rescued primates, where you will learn about their conservation efforts and even interact with some of the animals up close.

Day 4: Relaxation on Tchegera Island

  • In the morning, you will venture to Tchegera Island, a tranquil volcanic island located in the middle of Lake Kivu. Tchegera is a haven of peace and relaxation, offering pristine sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

  •  Spend the day unwinding on the beach, swimming in the refreshing lake waters, and soaking up the sunshine. You can also partake in water sports such as kayaking or paddleboarding, or simply relax with a good book as you listen to the gentle lapping of the waves.

  • Recharge your batteries and enjoy the serenity of nature before continuing your adventure.

Day 5: Return to Goma and Flight to Kinshasa

  • Today, you will depart from Tchegera Island and return to Goma International Airport for your flight to Kinshasa, the vibrant capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

  • Upon arriving in Kinshasa, you will check into your accommodation and have some time to

  • rest and relax after the day's travel.

Day 6: Hangout with Sapeurs & city Tour

  • Start your day by visiting the famous Kinshasa Sapeur today’s version of the well-known dandy’s. Take a walk around the area to admire the colorful outfits and unique style of the sapeurs.

  • After that you will embark on a guided city tour Kinshasa a bustling metropolis known for its lively atmosphere, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant arts scene.

  • During the city tour, you will explore the bustling streets of Kinshasa, where you can witness the everyday life of its residents and soak up the colorful sights and sounds of the city.

  • Visit the National Museum of Congo to learn about the country's history and cultural heritage, tour the Presidential Palace, and browse through the bustling markets to gain insight of Congolese in their daily lives.

  • In the evening, dine at a local restaurant to sample traditional Congolese cuisine and immerse yourself in the culinary delights of Kinshasa.

Day 7: Boat Cruise on the River Congo in Kinshasa

  • Start your day by heading to the port in Kinshasa where you will board a boat for a river cruise on the River Congo.

  • Enjoy the scenic views of the river as you cruise along, passing by local villages, lush greenery, and maybe even some wildlife.

  • Have lunch on board the boat and relax as you take in the sights and sounds of the river.

  • In the afternoon, disembark at a remote village along the river to explore the local culture and interact with the community.

  • Return to Kinshasa in the evening and have dinner your restaurant before retiring for the night.

Day8: Tata Gonda sect full immersion

  • After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a unique and immersive experience at the Tata Gonda sect. You will be welcomed warmly by members of the sect and gain insight into their way of life through various activities and interactions. One of the highlights of the day will be participating in a traditional ceremony with the Tata Gonda. This will give you a deeper understanding of their cultural traditions and spiritual beliefs. Following the ceremony, you will enjoy a delicious lunch with members of the sect, providing a chance to engage in meaningful conversations and further immerse yourself in their world.

  •  Afterward, you will have some free time to explore the surrounding area. Stroll through the community, visit local markets, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Day 9: Venturing into Lolo Ya Bonobo and Zongo Falls

  • Depart early in the morning for a visit to Lolo Ya Bonobo, a sanctuary for orphaned bonobos just outside of bustling Kinshasa. Get an up-close and personal encounter with these endangered primates, witnessing their playful antics and heartwarming interactions.   • After a fascinating visit to the sanctuary, indulge in a delightful picnic lunch amidst the lush greenery of Lolo Ya Bonobo, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the sanctuary's vibrant ecosystem.   • Continue your adventure to Zongo Falls, a breathtaking waterfall that promises to leave you in awe. With a majestic drop of around 60 meters, these falls cascade down from the Inkisi River before merging with the powerful Congo River. Embark on a scenic hike to the falls, immersing yourself in the beauty of the surrounding landscape as you make your way to this natural wonder.

Day 10: Exploring the Enchanting City of Matadi in Bas Congo

  • Set out for an unforgettable journey through the mesmerizing landscapes of Bas Congo, as you make your way south to the vibrant city of Matadi, nestled along the border with Angola. Let the majestic mountains and lush jungle surroundings paint the perfect backdrop for your adventures and be sure to capture every breathtaking moment with your camera.

  • Upon arriving in Matadi, prepare to be swept away by the city's rich history and unique charm. As the capital of Bas Congo province, Matadi seamlessly blends old-world allure with modern amenities, creating a captivating atmosphere that is sure to enchant you. Explore the city's iconic sights, from the imposing electrical dam to the scenic Point Belvedere, the historic OEBK bridge, the bustling colonial port, and the vibrant local market. Each corner of Matadi holds a story waiting to be discovered, making this city a true gem of the Congo.

Day 11: Matadi – Boma – Muanda

  • After enjoying your breakfast, embark on a boat journey along the Congo River. As the river marks the border with Angola, you will have the opportunity to witness daily life along one of the world's most significant waterways. Look out for local fishermen searching for the elusive tigerfish and large ships making their way to Kinshasa.

  • During the voyage to Muanda, make a stop in the historic town of Boma. Once the capital of the Belgian colony and the site of Belgium's handover of the country to the Congolese in 1959, Boma boasts well-preserved colonial architecture, including the first metal church, cathedral, and remnants of the first cars to arrive in Congo in 1905. Don't miss the iconic Baobab Tree, where explorer Henry Stanley reportedly spent his first night after traversing Congo.

  • As the day draws to a close, enjoy a sunset boat ride past shipwrecks en route to the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Muanda.

  • Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Muanda.

Day 12: Exploring Muanda From Mangrove National Park to Historic Colonial Town

  • End your day with an overnight stay in Muanda, where you can bask in the beauty of the region and reflect on the unforgettable experiences you have encountered.

  • Day13: A Scenic Journey Through Congolese Culture

  • Embark on a picturesque journey from the coastal town of Muanda to the charming village of Kisantu on Day 13 of our exploration. Leaving the waters behind, we will embark on a scenic drive towards Kinshasa, making stops along the way to soak in the stunning countryside views and stretch our legs.

  • Arriving in Kisantu, a true gem of Congolese culture, we will dive into the heart of the village, immersing ourselves in its vibrant traditions and local life. Indulging in a cold drink at a quaint local spot, we will bask in the essence of village living, surrounded by the sights and sounds that define Kisantu.

  • As the day draws to a close, we will settle in for the night, rejuvenating our spirits for the adventures that lie ahead in the Democratic Republic of Congo.


Day 14: From Kisantu and back to the Vibrant City of Kinshasa

  • Embark on a tranquil morning in Kisantu, soaking up the peaceful atmosphere before you journey onwards to the bustling metropolis of Kinshasa. As you approach the city, the sheer size and energy of Kinshasa will overwhelm you - with approximately 17 million people calling this urban jungle home.

  • Before bidding farewell to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, take the opportunity to indulge in some last-minute shopping, exploring local markets, and picking up unique souvenirs to cherish. End your adventures on a high note with a decadent dinner at a charming restaurant overlooking the majestic Congo River, where you can savor the flavors of Congolese cuisine and reflect on the unforgettable memories made during your time in this vibrant country.

To book your trip with Congo, you will need to pay 30% of the total amount. In this case, $1,995 of $6,650PP.

There are three convenient payment methods available: Western Union, Bank Transfer, or Online Payment. Please note that a 4% surcharge will be applied to cover transaction fees for all online payments.


OUR CANCELLATION;

Policies depend mainly on the different stakeholders and rules. The amount deposed on our account is directly used to secure your visit permits and hotels on which we don't have any control. However, many of our chosen hotels and partners are flexible to return the money at 90% when your cancellation is announced three Month in advance. For containing the post-covid crisis, we give chance to our clients to postpone at least twice within two years from the time of their booking.
